TRAINING CAMPS
WORK HARD, PLAY HARD
Every year we take a selected number of our students to collaborative training camps around Europe. In these training camps, we make sure to strike a balance between working hard and playing hard for our gymnasts. For this reason, we go beyond simply training in the gym and incorporate exciting activities that are enriched by the respective host country’s culture.
2023 Training Camps…
Krysta Vella and Philippa Busuttil had the opportunity to train with high level Italian gymnasts including Elisa Agosti from Serie A and Chiara Barzasi who forms part of the Italian National Team. The training camp was organized last week at the Ginnastica Bergamo facilities in Italy together with coaches Massimo Gallina and Carlotta Simionato. The girls were accompanied by their coach Dario Santacroce. I’m sure that this unique opportunity will motivate the girls and continue to provide them with experience that will increase their level. Last year, we took various groups for a 4-day long training camp in collaboration with Sicilian gym, Millenium in Ispica. At the end of October 2022, our CG Junior Team had the opportunity to go up to Milan for a weekend training camp at A.S.D. Juventus Nova Melzo and were mentored by Lara Battaglia, an ex-Olympic Italian gymnast.
